What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use local storage, which works similarly but is managed by your browser. Together, these technologies help the website function, remember your preferences, and collect usage information.
Your Choices
When you first visit our site, a consent banner gives you two options:
- Accept all — enables all cookies listed below, including analytics and advertising/marketing categories.
- Necessary only — only cookies essential for the website to function are used. No analytics, advertising, or marketing data is collected.
You can change your preference at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the site footer.
Cookies We Use
Necessary
These are required for the website to function and for us to achieve our core purpose — connecting with potential clients who need software development services. They are always active and cannot be disabled.
- cookie_consent — stores your cookie preference ("all" or "necessary"). Local storage. Persistent until cleared. Set by exaft.com.
- theme — stores your light/dark theme preference. Local storage. Persistent until cleared. Set by exaft.com.
- Cloudflare (__cf_bm) — bot detection and security. Set by Cloudflare (our hosting provider). Expires after 30 minutes.
Analytics
Only active if you click "Accept all." These help us understand how visitors find and use our site, so we can improve content and the overall experience.
- Google Analytics (_ga) — distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 14 months. Set by Google.
- Google Analytics (_ga_G-DNJTJR5KDC) — maintains session state. Expires after 14 months. Set by Google.
Data collected: page views, session duration, referral source, approximate location (country/city), browser and device type. No personally identifiable information is collected. Google's privacy policy.
Advertising and personalization
We do not currently use advertising or personalization cookies. However, when you click "Accept all," consent is also granted for advertising and personalization categories. This means if we add marketing tools in the future (such as social media pixels, retargeting, or A/B testing), they will be able to activate without requiring a new consent prompt — though we will update this policy to list them.
If you do not want to grant this forward-looking consent, choose "Necessary only" and revisit your preferences if this page is updated with new tools.
Future Tools
As we grow, we may add tools such as heatmap analytics, session recording, A/B testing, email marketing platforms, CRM systems, chatbots, or social media measurement. Any new tool that sets non-essential cookies will respect your existing consent preference and will be listed on this page.
How to Manage Cookies
- On this site — click "Cookie preferences" in the footer to re-open the consent banner and change your choice.
- In your browser — most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies in their settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect site functionality.
- Google Analytics opt-out — you can install Google's browser opt-out add-on.
